Your Role :
The Accounting Manager will report to the Assistant Controller and is primarily responsible for developing and continuously improving the company's accounting processes and procedures. They will be a key business partner to the Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, FP&A, and other internal stakeholders.
What You'll Do :
- Ensure our timely, complete, and accurate reporting in accordance with US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and other regulatory requirements
- Manage and develop a high-performing accounting team through effective leadership, coaching, and mentoring
- Provide guidance and support to direct reports; GL Accountants and Company Card Administrator by establishing clear performance expectations, providing regular feedback, and creating opportunities for professional growth.
- Review and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance and the monthly closing of our accounts
- Prepare and review account reconciliations as well as variance explanations
- Interface with internal business partners regarding new business initiatives, including assessing the accounting treatment, reporting / regulatory disclosures, internal control implications and systems impacts
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in the implementation of appropriate internal controls and process improvements
- Interact directly with the independent auditors to discuss and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner and facilitate the completion of our reviews and audits
- Oversee the company's Corporate Card program
