Salary : $110,000.00-$120,000.00 (Salary commensurate to education and experience)

General Statement of Duties :

Westfield State University (WSU) department of Accounting and Finance invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Finance beginning in the Fall of 2026. The selected candidate will teach courses in Financial Management, Advanced Financial Management, Personal Financial Planning, and Wealth Management as needed. In addition to teaching, faculty provide advising to students, support student events and clubs, engage in research and scholarship, and participate in service activities for the department and university.

In 2024, WSU opened a Finance / Data Analytics lab that provides almost $500,000 of hardware and software to support experiential exercises in portfolio management and market dynamics, and gives students access to tools widely used by industry professionals. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help build out the finance curriculum and co-curriculum to leverage these resources. In addition, faculty have access to Bloomberg to further their own research.

Accounting and Finance is a growing department, with several new initiatives planned. In addition, Westfield State University was recognized as a College of Distinction for its Business Programs in 2023-2024.

Salary :

Salaries for current Westfield State University employees and individuals currently working for the state of Massachusetts must be calculated individually in accordance with collective bargaining agreements as well as state policies.
