Arrowhead Winch engineers and manufactures industrial winch, hoist and drive systems under the BRADEN, CARCO and Gearmatic brand names in Broken Arrow and Okmulgee, Oklahoma. We are seeking talented individuals to join our team. Summary :
The General Accounting Manager reports to the Chief Financial Officer and will provide the ideal candidate the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to work in a fast-paced environment and involves close interaction with various departments within the company and personnel throughout the Controllers’ organization. The General Accounting Manager is responsible for all areas relating to financial budgeting and forecasting. The General Accounting Manager is required to manage and develop two staff accountants and the Accounts Payable process. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, and year-end preparation.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities :
- Manages the day-to-day accounting functions related to the budgeting and forecasting processes. This includes but is not limited to meeting with and reviewing budgets with budget owners, helping to answer questions, and holding budget owners accountable for results.
- Manages the day-to-day Accounts Payable process to ensure the timely and accurate payment of suppliers.
- Manage the accounts payable month-end cycle by preparing and reviewing various journal entries, review department expenditure variances from budget, preparation of account reconciliations, and contributing to the timely and accurate reporting of financial results to Arrowhead Winch management and stakeholders.
- Coordinate and prepare the annual overhead budget including preparation of senior management presentation and variance analysis.
- Work with operations and finance personnel to develop and implement various process improvements in order to improve efficiency and reduce costs of business transactions.
- Participate in Quarterly / Year-end closing activities (i.e. tax and other corporate request for information).
- Maintain general knowledge of regulatory pronouncements and ensures company compliance and / or support.
- Perform internal control process reviews as assigned by accounting department.
- Participate in statistical and interim inventory counts as assigned by accounting department.
- Train, develop, and retain a well-qualified staff through the execution of a plan which includes recruitment, internal promotion, and evaluations.
- Other duties as assigned by accounting department.
Qualifications :
Preferred Qualifications :
CPA / MBA / CMA
Prior experience in manufacturing environment
Experience using AS400 / Infinium
Technical Skills :
Excellent analytical capabilities and attention to detail with a “big picture” focus
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
