Job descriptionMust be a hands-on manager with the drive and forward-thinking mindset to setup the department for future success. Must have an active CPA license and a bachelor's degree in an accounting relevant field of study. Minimum of 5 years of experience, with at least 3 years of public accounting a top tier firm. Must have experience with focusing on financial reporting, consolidation, and technical accounting. You'll need well-defined month-end close experience to succeed in this role. Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, financial modeling, etc.), Word and PowerPoint. Experience with financial systems and ERP platforms (Sage Intacct) is a plus. Demonstrated experience in purchase accounting (ASC 805), revenue recognition (ASC 606) and lease accounting (ASC 842). Must have the ability to independently write GAAP position papers on these and other technical matters; and implement any required changes as a result.

Job Title : Accounting Manager
Location : Remote! Equipment will be provided.
Schedule : M-F, 40 Hours Per Week, 8AM to 5PM CST (Some Flexibility for Life Needs)
Pay Range : $130K to $160K + Bonus Opportunities
Job Duties :
- Drive the month-end close process for corporate entities and subsidiaries, ensuring financial data is compiled and reported with precision and timeliness.
- Oversee the consolidation of financial results, preparing comprehensive statements and disclosures to support internal and external reporting requirements.
- Manage accounting for newly acquired entities, ensuring purchase price allocations, goodwill recognition, and intangible assets are appropriately recorded and integrated.
- Maintain compliance with evolving accounting standards, providing technical guidance and drafting position memos for complex financial matters.
- Manage the annual audit process, collaborating with external auditors and preparing supporting documentation, financial statements, and required disclosures.
- Oversee the financial integration of newly acquired entities, ensuring a seamless transition into corporate accounting systems and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze weekly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess financial performance across business units, providing real-time insights to leadership.
- Support the company's budgeting and forecasting initiatives, ensuring alignment with financial goals and strategic planning efforts.
- Drive standardization of accounting procedures across acquired companies, improving operational efficiency and financial consistency.
- Manage the company's AP platform, ensuring timely and accurate processing to support financial reporting and compliance.
- Design and implement internal control frameworks that enhance financial accuracy, reduce risk, and leverage technology for streamlined operations.
