Position Overview :
A growing company in the Cicero area is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. This full-time, temp-to-hire position is responsible for full-cycle accounts payable functions, invoice processing, reconciliations, and supporting operational and accounting accuracy across the organization. The ideal candidate is organized, team-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Match receiving documents and purchase orders to vendor invoices
- Post all receiving and invoices accurately within the accounting system
- Process utilities, insurance, maintenance, and other recurring payments
- Execute check runs, ACH payments, and manual checks
- Maintain check transactions, registers, and daily bank reconciliation
- Enter and approve positive pay checks daily through the bank
- Track truck mileage, leasing details, and maintain related documentation
- Maintain organized records of contracts, leases, and service agreements
- Invoice warranty repairs for bar washers
- Prepare and invoice contract billbacks (monthly) and flyer billbacks (quarterly)
- Monitor rebate programs and maintain supporting spreadsheets
- Track and reconcile credits, including :
