Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills for employee support and cross-functional collaboration.
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to process weekly and biweekly payroll for approximately 900 employees in Texas. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing, handling garnishments and deductions, maintaining timekeeping records, and configuring payroll systems. The ideal candidate has experience with Infor Lawson or CloudSuite and possesses intermediate Excel skills to analyze and validate payroll data effectively.
Key Responsibilities :
- Payroll Processing : Accurately process weekly and biweekly payroll for a workforce of 900 employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Garnishments & Deductions : Manage wage garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and voluntary deductions while maintaining compliance with legal requirements.
- Timekeeping & Data Validation : Review and audit employee time records to ensure accuracy before payroll submission. Investigate and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Systems Configuration & Maintenance : Support payroll system configuration and updates, particularly within Infor Lawson or CloudSuite, to optimize processes and ensure compliance.
- Reporting & Reconciliation : Utilize Excel for payroll reporting, reconciliations, and audits. Prepare reports for finance, HR, and management as needed.
- Compliance & Record-Keeping : Maintain up-to-date payroll records and ensure adherence to labor laws, wage and hour regulations, and company policies.
- Employee Support : Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications & Skills :
