1.0 Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
2.0 Reporting
Reports to : Accounting Manager
HR FLSA Status : Non-Exempt
Office hours : 8am - 5pm
We require a commitment to work after-hours when necessary to complete daily workload obligations.
Hourly Wage is commensurate with experience.
3.0 Essential Functions, Job Duties, and Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and proper coding
- Match purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents (three-way matching)
- Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organized filing systems for all accounts payable documentation
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and resolve issues promptly
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and accruals
- Process employee expense reports and reimbursements
- Maintain accurate records in the accounting system
- Support annual audits by providing necessary documentation
- Performs all other duties or projects as assigned.

4.0 Education and Experience Requirements
Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have 2 years of experience in accounts payable and some bookkeeping experience.

Duties are primarily performed in an office environment. Minimal physical effort is required. Lifting and carrying requirements of up to 15 pounds. Occasional or frequent ability to move boxes from one location to another.
