Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Vacaville, California. In this role, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes with a focus on job costing and construction industry standards. The ideal candidate has a strong background in multi-state payroll, proficiency in QuickBooks, and experience with electronic timekeeping systems.

Responsibilities :

• Process weekly payroll for a large number of employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Handle job costing and ensure payroll expenses align with construction project budgets.
• Utilize QuickBooks and electronic timekeeping systems to manage payroll operations efficiently.
• Maintain compliance with multi-state payroll regulations and requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with accounts payable tasks as needed, contributing to overall financial operations.
• Generate detailed payroll reports and provide insights for management review.
• Ensure timely submission of payroll taxes and filings.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity.
• Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance. Requirements - Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing, ideally within the construction industry.
• Familiarity with multi-state payroll practices and regulations.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and electronic timekeeping systems.
• Experience processing payroll for over 500 employees.
• Strong knowledge of job costing and its application in payroll.
• Previous exposure to ADP Workforce Now is highly desirable.
• Ability to adapt to additional tasks, such as accounts payable, when required.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
