The opportunity :
The Segregated Fund and LTC Valuation team delivers valuation analysis, experience studies, assumption reviews, risk management and profitability management support for the in-force block of International Wealth and Run Off Reinsurance. We are seeking an Career ASA, Actuarial, or individual with equivalent experience (). The team is responsible for monthly and quarterly financial reporting including NAIC and IFRS reserves, capital, management risk reporting, OSFI regulatory reporting, supporting experience studies and developing and implementing assumption recommendations. In addition, the team supports business plan projections and participates in business initiatives.
How you will contribute :
Managing IFRS17 and NAIC monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deliverables for the In Force Management (IFM) Seg. Fund and LTC block
Responsible for managing in-force data process, which requires to build a structure and reconcile with various data sets from our Reinsurance partners
Supporting reserve and capital calculation process by using actuarial software including PathWise, Python, and Moody’s AXIS (depending on projects)
Responsible for forecast heads-ups and providing insight on the key drivers of income and capital
Supporting annual disclosures in the Actuarial Opinion & Memorandum (AOM) and Appoint Actuary Report (AAR)
Supporting Experience Studies and ACMA development and implementation including ACMA work coordination and communication with US Central
Ownership of SOX processes and support for internal and external audits
Partner with ALM, Corporate, and IFM Business in support of business initiatives for this block
Leadership & Collaboration :
Work in collaboration with IFM Business, Capital Management, Finance, Valuation, and other teams
Contribute to building a high-performance team, providing leadership and coaching to actuarial students on the team
The role may involve direct management of one or more actuarial students, including recruitment and evaluation of performance
What you will bring with you :
Ability to work with a diverse range of people
Career ASA with relevant work experience
5 or more years of actuarial experience working in individual insurance / annuities products highly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics or another field requiring rigorous analysis
Strong analytical & technical skills to identify and track performance drivers, detect patterns in results.
Strong project management skills with a proven commitment to quality and meeting deadlines while handling multiple priorities.
Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
Strong initiative and drive for results
Ability to apply advanced financial concepts and capabilities across business processes.
Strong business knowledge and awareness to facilitate effective working relationships with the business areas.

Southern region : $107,400 - $161,100 annually
Central region : $113,300 - $170,000 annually
Northern region : $121,100 - $181,700 annually
If you are a Colorado or Nevada resident, the salary range for this position is $102,600 - $153,900 annually.If you are a Connecticut or Maryland resident, the salary range for this position is $107,400 - $161,100 annually If you are Washington or Rhode Island resident, the salary range for this position is $113,300 - $170,000 annually.If you are a New York resident, the salary range for this position is $121,100 - $181,700 annually.We consider various factors in determining actual pay including your skills, qualifications, and experience.
