Clinical Coordinator
Coordinates clinical education and evaluates effectiveness. Provides recommendations for improvement to Program Chair.
Ensures effectiveness of clinical sites by evaluating student clinical outcomes and providing recommendations for enhancing the education.
Ensures effectiveness of clinical sites by collaborating with and educating clinical instructors (preceptors) and providing recommendations for enhancing the education.
Provides teaching, indirect supervision and evaluation of student learning experiences in clinical environments.
Ensures clinical education is correlated with didactic education.
Provides opportunities and guidance for intellectual and professional development of
clinical instructors, including ongoing and / or annual preceptor education.
Oversees evaluation of clinical placements by administering and disseminating feedback of the Clinical Site Evaluation and Program Resource Survey processes.
Ensures students are in compliance with requirements of the clinical affiliate agreement by working with the Castle Branch administrator.
Assists with development and retention of clinical partnerships
Participates in and seeks out quality improvement opportunities.
Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Instructor
Provides teaching, direct supervision and evaluation of student learning experiences in the Mercy College skill lab environment.
Ensures lab education is correlated with didactic education.
Provides individual advisement and guidance for intellectual and professional development of
students in both the clinical and lab environment.
Collaborates with other faculty, preceptors, field faculty, and clinical agencies to provide optimum learning opportunities for students.
Develops, implements and revises course content in a limited subject area.
Participates in and seeks out quality improvement opportunities.
