Medical Assisting Adjunct Instructor
Candidates should be innovative, energetic educators with three years' experience teaching adult learners within Learning Management Systems such as D2L, or Blackboard, Brightspace, Moodle, Instructure Canvas, etc. Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to teach healthcare subjects to today's multi-generational learners.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates Degree and/or Diploma in Medical Assisting or Clinical Medical Assisting
- Active Certification in Medical Assisting: CMA, CCMA, or RMA
- Experience teaching diverse adults
- Experience developing training materials.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- High level of computer & technical competency.
- Knowledge of National Certification testing requirements.
- Ability to perform physical work with patients and students in a clinical setting.
- Available to conduct training during weekdays or evenings.
- Working knowledge of D2L required
- Field experience in Phlebotomy and Electrocardiogram (EKG)
- Candidates should demonstrate (1) a mastery of specific discipline; (2) experience designing training materials; (3) a deep commitment to education and professional development; and (4) proficient use of technology.
- Adjunct instructors require strong communication skills and the ability to provide hands-on skills training to students related to the Clinical Medical Assistant occupation.
- 3-5 years of field experience. Current Basic Life Support card (American Heart Association). Knowledge of Medical Assisting and Clinical Medical Assistant theory and clinical practice experience required.
