Position Summary :

Mount Mary University is seeking an individual to join our community and contribute to the realization of our Mission as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Communications, beginning in August 2025. Mount Mary's undergraduate population is one of the most diverse in Wisconsin. We are especially interested in candidates with experience teaching public speaking, public relations, advertising, integrated marketing communication, mediated communication, communication technology and innovation, small group communication, and / or interpersonal communication.

The faculty member will also have the opportunity to mentor undergraduate students and foster growth through advising, engaging students in research, and supervising internships.

Primary Responsibilities : Teach 12 credits per semester of undergraduate courses including both introductory and upper-level courses classesTeach at least one public speaking course each semester and coordinate curriculum and assessment across all sections of public speaking coursesAdvise and mentor communication majors and minorsAssess student and program learning outcomesDevelop and revise curriculumProvide service to the Communication program, the division, and the University.Engage in ongoing professional development.Qualifications :

A Ph.D. in Communication or a related field is preferred, a Master's Degree in Communication or a related field is required for this position.Strong commitment to quality teaching in the liberal arts and to the social justice mission of the universityPreference given to candidates who explore the intersection of AI and communication.Experience teaching diverse learners using inclusive practices is preferred.Applicants should submit the following :
