St. Mary's University of San Antonio, a private, Catholic and Marianist university invites applications for renewable, adjunct instructor (term) positions in the Department of Biological Sciences beginning August 2025. We are seeking life scientists with teaching expertise at the university level to teach in one or more of the following areas : Anatomy and Physiology I & II lectures and labs for primarily nursing and exercise & sports science majors, General Biology I & II for majors, Microbiology for the Health Professions, and other courses as needed.
Qualifications :
- PhD in Biological Sciences or related life science discipline
- Experience teaching undergraduates at the university level
- Ability to engage students using best-practice pedagogy

The Department of Biological Sciences ( ) currently employs 14 full-time faculty and serves ~230 undergraduate majors. Class sizes in the department are small with an average student-faculty ratio of 17 : 1. The department is active in research and opportunities for collaborations and professional development are abundant. Faculty are invested in positively impacting students' lives through strong mentorship, exemplary teaching and commitment to community and industry engagement.
