Adjuster Jobs in Norwalk, CA

Machine Adjuster Pay / Schedule :

• Starting at $25 / hr or higher depending on experience

2nd shift premium $.70 / hr

and

3rd shift premium $1.50 / hr

• 2nd shift 2pm – 10pm / 3rd shift 10pm – 6am
• Training for 2nd & 3rd shift is usually completed on 1st shift
• Schedule : Mon - Fri / Sat required during busy season / based on business needs.

Machine Adjuster Responsibilities & Daily Duties :

• Sets up and adjusts various types of converting equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Machine set up, troubleshooting, changeovers, size-changes, preventive maintenance
• Assists with training and provides coverage / overtime as needed
• Examines product to ensure quality process is followed; Minimizes waste.
• Compliance with safety rules and regulations
• Other duties and assignments as required.

Machine Adjuster Requirements / Qualifications :

• The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 5 years direct envelope experience.
• Advanced mechanical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic math skills and the ability to accurately read a ruler; basic computer skills.
• Flexibility required with machine assignment.

Machine Adjuster Physical Requirements & Work Environment : -

• Regular standing, walking, carrying, climbing, reaching, bending, stooping.
• Frequently required to lift and / or move up to 55 pounds with assistance.
• Exposure to production equipment, noise, hazardous materials (inks, solvents, glue, etc.).
• Must be able to work in hot or cold weather; Mental alertness to stop equipment.
• .Ability to handle high-speed delivery output in a standing position for a full shift.
