This role is part of Enterprise Engineering (EE), where we provide technical standards, tools, processes, training, and subject matter expertise for product engineering and manufacturing. EE allows all Blue Origin business units to benefit from commonly used capabilities, hardware, and software and assists business units in identifying, selecting, and training engineers from both inside and outside the organization.

As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will be tasked with building a deep understanding of our business, collaborating with key leaders across the organization, and working relentlessly to evolve and mature our systems so that we can continue to operate at the highest levels to accomplish our mission.

You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of development activities. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Responsibilities :

  • Help the Engineering Design Tools Team maintain a laser focus on customers
  • Serve as a voice of the customer to the Engineering Design Tools Team
  • Serve as an advocate for the product to customers
  • Product communication : feature launches, user guides
  • Prioritization of work for a development group based on 1 year plan
  • Status and adhere to a roadmap for area of responsibility
  • Help the Engineering Design Tools Team maintain a big picture view
  • Conduct user research
  • Conduct analytics to ensure we are making the correct decisions
  • Ensure projects are meeting the needs of customers and the overall business needs
  • Gather requirements from stakeholders and communicate those requirements to the Systems Design Team in a well-thought-out, structured, and prioritized format
  • Focus on system stability and system quality
  • Maintain a focus on the big picture established by management and ensure a continual drive towards that vision

Qualifications :

  • BA / BS in a relevant field of study
  • CAPM eligible, PMP prepping
  • Established professional expertise in Project Management.
  • Understands theory and practical applicationof project management discipline.
  • Works to improve project management processes and business systems that support project decision-makers.
  • Track record of successful enterprise-wide project management, ideally able to both start from scratch and build on others' work to improve existing frameworks and tools.
  • Experienced at collecting and synthesizing quantitative and qualitative information from multiple stakeholders and translating data into project requirements, scoping and planning documents, and ultimately build ready-for-use and fit-for-purpose tools and processes.
  • Can translate observations and colloquial explanations of work into descriptions of project components
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Desired :

  • Familiar with the standard concepts of product development.
  • Experience running Agile product development process and activities.
  • Experience creating and maintaining Confluence Wiki pages.
  • Experience using a service desk application to manage support requests.
  • Experience creating SQL queries.
  • Familiar with PLM Tool functionality, and capability.
  • Familiar with CAD drawings and models.
  • Proficient with a personal computer and various software including desktop publishing, spreadsheet, word processing, illustration, and database programs
  • Compensation Range for :

    CO applicants is $74,332.50-$104,065.50;WA applicants is $81,090.00-$113,526.00

    Benefits

    Paid Time Off : Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
