Job descriptionHigh school diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred. Previous administrative or clerical experience, preferably in a funeral home or healthcare setting. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with technology. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity. A compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Duration : 56 Days (Temp to Perm)
Hours : 1st Shift (Monday to Friday)
Pay Rate : $10.00 / Hour on W2
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist with daily operations of the funeral home, including answering phone calls, greeting visitors, and managing inquiries.
- Maintain and organize confidential records, files, and documents, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate services for families, including funeral arrangements and meetings with funeral directors.
- Process paperwork related to funerals, including death certificates, permits, and insurance claims.
- Prepare and maintain reports related to service arrangements, inventory, and financial transactions.
- Support financial operations by processing payments, handling invoices, and maintaining financial records.
- Order and maintain office supplies and equipment, ensuring the office is well-stocked and organized.
- Collaborate with funeral directors and staff to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service to families.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of informational materials for families, such as brochures and service programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the funeral home.
