Loma Linda University HealthLoma Linda, CA, United StatesJob Summary : The Coordinator-Admin Services assists the Associate Dean of Basic Science and Translational Research and the Assistant Dean for Graduate Student Affairs with Graduate student services and records, processing, onboarding, and separation of post docs and visiting scholars for all associated departments, and coordination of non-academic administrative functions. Performs other duties as needed.
This position will specifically be employed to support the Master of Science in Genetic Counseling (MSGC) Program. Providing admissions-related support, works with graduate student affairs and student records. Provides curriculum and fieldwork support and works with clinical education.
Education and Experience : Bachelor's Degree required. Minimum two years of related experience required.
Knowledge and Skills : Able to keyboard 40 wpm. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Operate / troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position; Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to communicate effectively on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
