The Administration Department plays a central role in ensuring City Council policies and directives are effectively carried out while providing critical support across all City departments. This Department oversees key functions such as municipal management, public and intergovernmental relations, and special projects. It includes the City Manager's and City Clerk's Office, City Attorney, Public Information, as well as the Legislative Advocacy, Economic Development, Innovation and Information Technology divisions. Focused on collaboration, responsiveness, and ethical governance, the Administration Department is dedicated to supporting the community, elected officials, and city staff in building a strong, connected, and well-managed city.

As our new Management Analyst, you will :

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and clerical support to the City Manager and Administration Department management and staff; coordinate meetings, deadlines, and communications; and prepare correspondence and staff documents for review and distribution.
  • Review, verify, and process a variety of forms and documents including contracts, invoices, purchase orders, Personnel Action Forms (PAFs), and reimbursement requests; and ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Gather data and conduct administrative research to prepare summaries, charts, and reports; and assist in compiling information for City Council agenda items, financial statements, and other official documents.
  • We're looking for someone who :

  • Has exceptional administrative and organizational skills, experience in supporting executives, managing complex schedules, and preparing professional reports and correspondence.
  • Demonstrates strong communication, discretion, professionalism and sound judgement, working effectively with City staff, elected officials, and the public while handling sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Is analytical, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy, and able to research policies, resolve issues, and coordinate projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum Qualifications :

  • Education : Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business administration, public administration, accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience : Three (3) years of increasingly responsible governmental administrative experience.
  • Physical Demands and Working Conditions :

  • Mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standing office equipment, including a computer.
  • Operate a motor vehicle and visit various community sites.
  • Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen.
  • Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
  • The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects averaging a weight of 10 pounds.
