Field Education Administrative Coordinator
This position involves the support, coordination, documentation, and planning for field placements in the College of Social Work. The position requires managing multiple processes at once, such as working with agencies and students to determine field placement options, managing required field placement forms in the field database, and meeting with field team members around student needs. This position also involves supporting the administrative needs of the field placement coordinators and participating in a number of field office and college level meetings.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead communications with field agencies and field students to make matches for students in the field. This includes new agency meetings, working with affiliated agencies to update information and student coordination, and recruiting new potential agencies for potential partnerships.
- Facilitates problem-solving for students with higher acuity placement needs, including working with field coordinators and field placement team to identify potential matches for practicum.
- Provides oversight for field education needs such as field database student orientations, agency development and training, and fee waiver process.
- Responsible for coordinating aspects of field events including, but not limited to, the annual field breakfast and annual field fair.
- Serves as back-up to field team members in the College of Social Work and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required.
Desired Qualifications
2-4 years of relevant experience preferred. Bachelor's Level Degree with a Major in Social Work (BSSW) with 1-year social work experience and Social Work licensing (LSW); proficiency with MS Office; in-depth knowledge of central Ohio human service organizations and practice community; excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; exceptional organizational and follow-through; and ability to manage crises and problem solve multiple situations simultaneously in a fast-paced collaborative work environment. We are seeking a diverse candidate with experience working with individuals and communities.
Salary range is $21.35-$27.88 per hour. The actual salary will fall within this range based on the candidate's qualifications, internal equity, and the unit's available budget.
