Responsibilities
POSITION :
Review medical and clinical referral information for appropriateness of admission. Assess patients through a systematic process of interacting with patient, the patient's significant others, and the appropriate health care providers. When requested, collect, and analyze data regarding the patient's physical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, and anticipated discharge planning needs. Complete Medication Reconciliation and brief nursing assessment for admitted patients. Receives RN report from referring / receiving facility RN. Administer medication as ordered and monitor for side effects, as needed. . Participate in Emergency Services emergency codes necessary to the department's safe operation. Assist with communicating patient needs and history via report to RN on receiving inpatient units.
SCHEDULE : Due to the 24 / 7 environment of the Admissions Department, full-time schedules are subject to change occasionally to meet the needs of patient admissions and referrals.
