Overview
Purpose Statement / Position Summary : The Registered Nurse conducts preoperative patient assessments, participates in the development of the plan of care, implements and evaluates care according to specific age and / or developmental needs of patients scheduled for surgery / procedures under general anesthesia. Collaborates with other health care team members in the delivery of care. This position is a combination of clinical care and care coordination (Preop Phone Calls and COVID test scheduling / coordination). Employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications / Work Experience : 1+ year experience as an RN. Medical surgical and pediatric experience is preferred. Broad knowledge of patient care principles and equipment. Ability to assess effectiveness of patient care; maintain a calm demeanor and assist in crises and emergencies; prioritize tasks for complex patient care; communicate tactfully, professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing.
Education / Licensure / Certification : BSN required, current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of California, American Heart Association CPR / BLS and PALS certification required.
12 Hour shifts : 3 / 12hr shifts per week with shifts starting as early as 5 : 30am with variable days, Mon- Fri, no weekends and no call.
Pay Scale Information
99,424.00-$171,506.00

Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
