Collects appropriate co-payments and obtains signatures and escorts patients to destination if required.Job Description : EDUCATIONHS Diploma or equivalent education / experiencePREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN : Minimum six months recent clerical experience including contact with the public.Hospital admitting / registration experience preferred.SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEKnowledge of medical terminology preferred. Computer keyboard knowledge required.Able to perform under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced office.Must be a team player and able to promote friendly, professional and caring relationships with patients, visitors and doctors utilizing the services of the hospital. Ability to type 40 words per minute preferred (applicants will be required to complete a typing assessment skills test.)Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, and employees.Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.Reasoning Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
