Job DetailsParticipate in all activities and group work of the Clinical Pastoral Education Program, complete all required readings and written work, provide spiritual care to patients / families / staff on assigned units or by referrals through Spiritual Care, provide overnight and weekend on-call coverage in rotation with others. The chaplain must apply what they are learning in the CPE Education Program in order to make judgements concerning the spiritual / emotional needs of persons and decisions about how to assist those persons as a chaplain either directly or indirectly. Residents must communicate in the context of the other person's frame of reference and language skills. The Chaplain Resident must work as a professional, interact as part of the interdisciplinary care team, and chart as directed and appropriate in the patient's medical record.
