Job descriptionBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in quality engineering within the aerospace or defense industry. In-depth knowledge of AS9100 standards and experience in maintaining QMS certifications. Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, 8D, and Six Sigma methodologies. Strong experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and AS9102 requirements. Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes, including machining, composites, and assembly. Proficiency in using quality software and tools (e.g., Minitab, ERP systems). Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green / Black Belt are a plus. Description
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for the following :
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) in accordance with AS9100 standards.
- Conduct internal audits, supplier audits, and process validations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Lead First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to review design and manufacturing processes for quality improvements.
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and oversee material review board (MRB) activities.
- Develop and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor quality trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in customer and third-party audits and address any findings or corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records per AS9100 and company standards
