Job Summary
The Electrician performs assignments involving repair, maintenance, troubleshooting and installations of electrical equipment and electrical distribution systems. Participates in on-call rotation in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years of related and progressively more responsible experience; a relevant combination of education, other experience and training may be substituted for years of related experience
- Must provide basic hand tools
- Valid US Driver license is required
Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.
To be considered as a Sr. Electrician, candidates must meet the Electrician requirements, and have five (5) or more years of related and progressively more responsible electrical maintenance and installation experience

Business Hours with weekends or evenings occasionally required

Local travel between campus locations only

Driving a Rensselaer vehicle for non-passenger use
