Job description

Aerotek is currently seeking experienced sheet metal / structural mechanics to join our client's great company culture in Philadelphia, PA !

Long-term Opportunity

Qualified candidates will perform structural modifications and heavy maintenance on helicopters and rotary aircraft in a P145 work enviornment.

Responsibilities :

Shoot and buck rivets to specifications.

Recognize differences in types of metals including structural strength and thickness.

Perform sheet metal bends to guidelines and specifications as dictated in normal aviation practices.

Remove existing rivets from aircraft structure.

Build components for aircraft applications using a variety of sheet metal materials.

Perform repairs to the aircraft and determine which repairs can or cannot be made.

Read blueprints to ensure build and modification completion; follow both written and verbal instructions.

Must-Have Qualifications :

Previous aircraft structures experience

4-7 years of aviation experience.

Airframe License OR A&P license.

Experience with structural repairs on sheet metal and composite materials.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Proficiency in performing inspections, repairs, services, and modifications according to FAA standards.

Ability to work with diagnostic test equipment.

Experience with helicopter dynamic components (preferred).

Ability to follow instructions and work under minimal supervision.

Proficiency in documenting work performed using computers.

Knowledge of AS9100 regulations.
