This position is a physically demanding position which does require the ability to stand and lift / push / pull / move various luggage weighing up to 75 pounds consistently throughout the shift. This position does also require the ability to work weekends and holidays since that is the busiest time of the week for the operation.

The Airline Baggage Handler will verify passenger boarding pass with their checked bag and move the bags to the security screening induction system
This is a physically demanding position which requires on-the-job security training and the ability to recieve all applicable airport security badges
- Provide general information to passengers, give directions and flight information
- Provide monitoring of the local baggage claim areas (carousels) as assigned, remove unclaimed baggage from carousel and assist agents in securing bags
- Scan all bags in the claim area within 15 mins from carousel removal
- Assist customers with their baggage in any airport area
- Be able to recognize and enforce in the hazmat / dangerous goods program of the customer airline(s) concerning checked baggage
- Carrying out other duties as assigned

The employee must be able to move in a relatively quick manner. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Peripheral vision and Ability to adjust focus.
Salary Range : $14.00 per hour
