POSITION PURPOSE :
To provide 24-hour alarm monitoring and visitor control services for the National Defense University, Fort McNair campus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Monitor and execute site security checks on critical assets, restricted areas, communications facilities, and rear parking lot.
- Conduct security checks of areas identified as high value / mission critical / restricted areas at a minimum every four (4) hours.
- Report any suspicious activity or issues to the base police or the appropriate staff.
- Monitor Lenel Security system equipment for proper operation.
- Notify Government personnel of any irregularities noted in the Lenel security system.
- Inventory and Monitor Keys and badges.
- Provide information and assistance to employees, visitors and guests.
- Control, issue, and maintain an electronic record of visits.
- Verify all personnel entering the facilities by ensuring all personnel present a Badge or identification (i.e., Common Access Card (CAC)).
- Issue a temporary visitor’s badge as required.
