Job descriptionInstall, program, and test fire alarm systems in residential and commercial properties. Conduct site surveys to determine the most effective alarm system placement. Troubleshoot and repair any issues with existing fire alarm systems. Upgrade and replace outdated or faulty detection and control components. Perform regular maintenance and inspections on fire alarm systems to ensure proper functioning. Provide training and instructions to customers on how to operate alarm systems. Keep accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. Stay updated on industry trends, certifications, licenses and advancements in alarm system technology. Collaborate with team members and project managers to ensure timely completion of projects. Performs other duties as required. Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Experience in low-voltage electrical work including fire alarm, cctv, and security. Ability to program panels and use laptops / I-pad and applications for software. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. High school diploma or equivalent; required. Multi-year Proven experience as an Alarm Technician or similar role; preferred. Familiarity with various fire alarm system brands and models; preferred (including CCTV, security an access control). Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
