ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sets up workstations with all needed packaging, utensils, and supplies
• Maintains a clean, sanitary, and organized workstation and packaging counter. Takes ownership of area
• Prepares and packages food and drink orders according to established guidelines
• Reads monitor/screen to identify orders that need to be prepared
• Complies with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen policies
• Verifies accuracy of orders before final delivery to customer
• Ensures ingredients and products are fresh and within established holding time
• Other general duties include: minor food preparation, stocking of supplies, sweeping, mopping, discarding of trash, filling ice bins.
• Observes health, sanitation, and food safety guidelines
• Maintains cleanliness, organization, and rotation of the display cooler.
• Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products
• Cleans dining areas, tables, and restrooms
• Follows chemical guidelines
• Communicates with customers, team members and managers in a positive and professional manner
• Looks for opportunities to assist fellow team members in an enthusiastic manner.
• Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Less than high school education, GED or high school degree preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to comprehend simple instructions.

COMPUTER SKILLS

No skills are required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must obtain State Food Handler certification within 60 days of hire.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to extreme heat from cooking equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employees will be expected to purchase non-slip shoes due to wet, slippery floors and can purchase through the company at a discount.
