Title : Warehouse Operator I

Summary :

The Warehouse Operator I is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, and products in the warehouse. This position ensures accuracy and timeliness in all warehouse tasks, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Pay Rate : $22.00 / hour

Duties :

Assists shipping and receiving unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.

Review work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and / or shipped

Moves materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.

Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, or product code.

Files requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.

Marks materials with identifying information using appropriate method.

Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.

Assists in counting of physical inventory.

Weighs and counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.

Assist with facilities maintenance duties as needed.

Prepares parcels for mailing.

Maintain warehouse and work area ensuring safety and organization at all times.

Wears the proper safety equipment.

Other duties as may be assigned by management

Qualifications :

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.

Previous experience in warehouse shipping and receiving

Must be able to regularly lift and / or move objects up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and / or move objects up to 50 lbs, and occasionally lift and / or move objects that weigh more than 100lbs.

Knowledge of MS Office

Strong mathematical skills

Physical Demands :

The employee if frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, keyboards or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear

The employee is occasionally required to walk frequently, sit; and may also be required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
