Job descriptionHS Diploma or GED equivalent required Minimum of two years' experience as a leader / manager in a warehouse / logistics capacity Strong organization, time management, and problem-solving skills Ability to interact with all levels of the company and public in a professional manner Must have a valid CA driver's license and clean driving record (must be insurable) Forklift and clamp truck experience required (Operator's certification a plus) Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word & Excel - intermediate) as well as inventory systems Knowledge of LTL, small parcel, and truckload operations Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds Detail-oriented and self-motivated Good communication skills Ability to work under high-pressure situations
Overview
The warehouse supervisor "champions safety" and leads cross-functional teams (Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory) to achieve the highest standards of Safety, Quality, and Productivity. Working under the leadership of the Assistant Logistics Manager, the warehouse supervisor demonstrates a willingness to assist other departments and provides excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders. The Warehouse Supervisor has comprehensive responsibilities across all warehouse tasks.
Responsibilities
- Champion safety and a healthy work environment
- Embrace East Bay Tire goals and department KPIs
- Supervise, coach, and train warehouse technicians
- Assist and communicate with East Bay Tire management
- Supervise accurate inventory transactions (receiving, put-away, and depletion)
- Maintain and execute inventory adjustments and cycle count discrepancies
- Organize and coordinate daily shipping and receiving schedules
- Lead maintenance and building upkeep
- Assist with physical end-of-year inventory
