Job descriptionMentor in Protocol Development : Guide team members in optimizing extraction, isolation, and quantification methods for efficiency and reproducibility. Troubleshoot & Optimize Methods : Provide hands-on coaching in identifying inefficiencies and improving compound analysis workflows. Support Equipment Diagnostics : Train staff on conducting diagnostic tests and resolving operational issues with analytical instruments Educate on Extraction & Purification Methods : Train the team in best practices for metabolite extraction and purification, including lipids and flavonoids. Guide Data Interpretation & Reporting : Coach team members on analyzing results and integrating findings into R&D and process improvements. Ensure GMP / GLP Compliance : Provide training on implementing best practices for laboratory work to meet regulatory standards, including QA / QC standards. Documentation & Reporting : Instruct team members on proper record-keeping and documentation to ensure compliance with industry regulations. Establish protocols and write them with the technicians help after they have been developed. Ph.D. or M.S. in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related field. 5+ years of industry experience (biotech, food science, or natural products). Expert in HPLC method development and troubleshooting. Strong background in flavonoid extraction and compound characterization. Experience in QA / QC, SOP development, and regulatory compliance. Proficiency in GC / MS and FTIR techniques. Ability to assess lab needs and guide instrument selection. Strong mentoring skills to train a junior technician.

Overview
We are seeking a consultant to play a key role in setting up lab operations, advising on necessary equipment, and mentoring an in-house technician with basic HPLC experience. The consultant will establish QA / QC protocols, draft SOPs, and optimize analytical methods for flavonoid and lipid analysis.
Key Responsibilities
HPLC Expertise & Equipment Setup
- Guide Equipment Selection : Advise the team on choosing the most suitable HPLC system based on project needs.
- Train on Method Development : Teach team members how to develop and validate HPLC protocols for plant metabolite analysis, including flavonoids. Lipids will be analyzed using GC / MS.
- Training & Troubleshooting : Instruct the team on how to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot HPLC systems independently.
- Data Analysis Interpretation : Instruct the team on how to interpret data from HPLC and GC / MS analysis.

Qualifications
This is a hands-on consulting role focused on building structure, optimizing processes, and knowledge transfer. The consultant is expected to work full-time for the first three months before transitioning to a more flexible schedule.
