This forward-thinking company specializes in advanced therapies for high-need diseases, leveraging cutting-edge technology to pioneer non-viral targeted treatments. Based in South San Francisco, the company fosters a fast-paced, collaborative environment where groundbreaking science is at the forefront.
About the Role : As a Surgery Technician, you'll play a critical role in supporting surgical operations and animal care, particularly rodents. This role involves performing minor surgeries, maintaining lab compliance, and contributing to an organized, safe environment. This is an on-site position requiring a passion for animal care and surgical precision.
Key Responsibilities :
- Handle and restrain rodents
- Track surgery animals using specialized software
- Perform minor surgeries (e.g., Jugular / Artery Vascular Cannulation, vasectomy, splenectomy, ovariectomy)
- Administer rodent dosing (IM, IV, SQ, oral)
- Conduct tissue biopsies, necropsies, euthanasia, and organ harvesting
- Ensure compliance with animal welfare protocols
Qualifications :
Compensation : Salary range : $104,000 - $114,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a full-time and permanent opportunity.
