The Role : Energetics Applications Engineer

As an Energetics Applications Engineer, you will lead the development of a diverse array of energetic applications customized to meet customer needs using our advanced 3D printing platform. In this role, you will oversee projects from the initial concept through application development, which includes design, formulation of energetic materials, prototyping, testing, and customer demonstrations. Your efforts in validating performance and creating prototypes will be vital to our success. This position requires up to 75% travel to our energetics lab located near customer sites.

What You Will Get To Do :

• Application Development :
• Led the development phase for various energetic applications—including solid rocket motor grains, igniters, fuses, pyrotechnics, and charges—from concept through lab testing and customer demonstrations.
• Establish and oversee a comprehensive application life cycle, encompassing all pre-process and post-process steps, testing protocols, and usage notes.
• Design & Formulation :
• Design and refine complex geometries and energetic material formulations tailored to specific applications using CAD, simulations, and analytical calculations.
• Utilize proprietary 3D printing technology to create prototypes that meet customer-specific requirements.
• Testing & Analysis :
• Develop and execute detailed test plans to validate design performance and ensure safety compliance across various energetic applications.
• Analyze experimental data to continuously refine designs and optimize application performance before transitioning to manufacturing.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration :
• Collaborate closely with machine and material development teams to ensure a unified and robust platform.
• Engage directly with customers to understand their needs, provide technical insights, and demonstrate the capabilities of our innovative system.
• Travel :
• Commit to frequent travel (upto 75%) to our energetics lab and customer sites for prototyping, testing, and demonstrations.
