Job Summary : Responsible for constructing a project from technical drawings, blueprints, and sketches into a finished project. Ability to use all wood related tools including power equipment.
Essential Job Functions :
- Able to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements on a project
- Able to take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed for a project
- Cut, shape and smooth wood and other materials according to the measurements given
- Build cabinets, shelves, doors, frames etc...
- Assemble and install furniture, cabinets and shelves
- Ability to cut and fit pieces to a tight tolerance
- Ability to work with numerous materials
- Attention to details
- Ability to do finish work
- Ability to take on and manage a project small or large from start to finish
- Self-motivated and works without much supervision
- Ability to solve problems as they arrive on a project
- Ability to use a variety of shop tools including power tools and saws
- Follow all safety guidelines at all times
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Able to work 40 plus hours weekly and overtime when needed
