Job Description : The Data Architect will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and refining our data warehouse framework to support our organizations strategic objectives. This includes designing enterprise-level data warehouse solutions with conventional database warehouse technologies and maintaining the corporate data warehouse environment within on-premises and cloud environments. This involves close collaboration with leaders and technologists, driving architectural decisions, data governance, and successful implementation of scalable data systems. The Data Architect will also play a critical role in operational support across the entire data environment, including managing data integrity, optimizing performance, and scaling solutions to meet evolving business needs. A remote work arrangement is available for this position.

Responsibilities include :

  • Designing and developing scalable, efficient, and secure data architectures leveraging SQL Server, Azure services, and data fabrics.
  • Implementing robust data models, including multidimensional modeling, to support complex business requirements and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Leveraging Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and others to architect cloud-native data solutions.
  • Designing and implementing ETL processes using SSIS and other relevant technologies to integrate data from various sources into the data architecture.
  • Providing technical and operational oversight on database administration across the entire database environment, including architecture, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, tuning, and security.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, data engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, define data architecture solutions, and drive successful implementations.
  • Documenting data architecture designs, standards, and best practices, and providing guidance and support to ensure adherence across projects.
  • Maintaining security compliance and adherence to ISO270001 certifications.
  • Maintaining a knowledge base (Application Portfolio) including installation documentation, problem resolutions, vendor contact information, change logs, and other application information.
  • Maintaining technical proficiency and industry knowledge through participating in technical and business-related training programs, seminars, and industry events.
  • Participating in team efforts through regular team / project meetings.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications :

  • At least 7 years of IT experience with a minimum of 4 years as a Data Architect or similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Experience in AI and machine learning integration into data architecture.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing big data solutions.
  • Advanced skills in data governance and quality management, especially in multi-cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of modern data platforms, mesh and lakehouse architecture, and data fabrics.
  • Understanding of AI-driven software development, including large language models and image generation technologies, including vector databases.
  • Experience with data warehousing principles, approaches, technologies, and architectures.
  • Expertise in complex SQL development and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with ETL development using SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and flexibility for after-hours support.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies.
  • Salary range : Depending on location, from $93,000 to $167,200 annually, with additional benefits and contingent compensation options.
