Job Description :

The Architecture and Fine Arts Library is looking for a customer service-oriented student to join our Service Desk team. Responsibilities of the position include :

Staffing the Service Desk

Searching the UF Library Catalog to determine the location of library materials and if they are available for loan to patrons

Loaning and returning of library materials

Assisting patrons with Course Reserves, printers, scanners, and workstations in the library, and answering basic questions regarding their library accounts and policies

Answering telephone calls and providing directional assistance

Assisting patrons with general questions and referring them to other staff members when needed

Organizing and re-shelving circulating library materials

Patrolling the library to collect browsed library materials, and reporting maintenance or technical equipment issues to supervisor

Assisting supervisor with collections projects (re-shelving, dusting, organizing, and shifting sections of the collection)

Work Schedule :

For the Spring 5 semester, January 2, 5 – June , 5. Employment may continue into the Fall 5 semester if the candidate has Federal Work Study award. The current need is for hours a week.

Architecture & Fine Arts Library Spring 5 hours :

Monday-Thursday 8am-pm

Friday 8am-5pm

Saturday 1pm-5pm

Sunday 2pm-pm

Expected Salary : hour

Minimum Requirements :

Federal Work Study Award for Spring 5 semester

Must be able to work night and weekend shifts.

Punctual and reliable

Detail-oriented and self-motivated

Good communication skills and customer-service oriented

Must be able to lift lbs and be able to climb flights of stairs
