Job descriptionA professional degree in Architecture is required, as well as an advanced degree in Architecture or a closely related design field. The school is particularly interested in candidates with teaching experience in an accredited professional architecture program. Candidates with strong intellectual and artistic direction are encouraged to apply. Candidates must possess professional design experience and demonstrate a record of recognized research, which may include built work, scholarship, publications, or exhibits. The School is committed to supporting diversity in its student population, faculty, and curriculum.
Part-Time Faculty | Architecture Design Studio (Fall 2025 and / or Spring 2026)
School of Architecture seeks part-time instructors to teach architecture design studio during the Fall (6 credits) and / or Spring (6 credits) semester(s). Teaching is at the undergraduate level.
Responsibilities
- Developing and / or updating a class syllabus.
- Ordering appropriate books and materials in advance of the class start date.
- Preparing lectures, projects, or other student assignments.
- Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours.
- Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course.
- Meeting all designated class periods.
- Submitting mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.
- Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner.
- Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations.
