The Role

OWL Services has a diverse fleet of approximately 1,500+ vehicles, primarily made up of service vehicles including cargo vans, pickups, and class 4-5 trucks. The company also has a diverse range of construction equipment including backhoes, loaders, dump trucks, tag trailers, enclosed trailers and more. He / she will also work with other corporate owned companies to locate vehicles.

Responsibilities

The National Fleet Manager will be responsible for :

• Develop and implement strategies to improve fleet performance, reduce costs, and enhance safety.
• Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with leasing companies, fuel providers, maintenance vendors, and other service providers.
• Managing the mixed fleet of vehicles at multiple states and locations for accuracy on maintenance, repair, upkeep and turnover
• Manages mechanics ensuring all vehicles meet safety regulations, DOT requirements, and company policies.
• Planning and scheduling new vehicle acquisitions based on predictive analysis for budgeting purposes
• Measures fleet health using KPI’s to determine overall fleet efficiency in order to optimize vehicles, parts, service, replacement times and driver performance
• Works closely with staff accounting department for vehicle titling, registrations and finance
• Works with CFO or Finance Director for approval on new capital expenses
• Works with HR for employee-driver hiring criteria
• Builds and maintains relationships with vendor networks, third party service administrators and service writers to negotiate labor rates and fair service.
• Fleet manager also serves as the primary contact concerning vehicles and fleet operations
