Job descriptionBachelor’s degree in Art Education, Technology Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Valid teaching certification in New York State or eligibility for certification. Proven experience teaching art and / or technology at the elementary level. Strong understanding of Catholic education and the ability to incorporate faith-based principles into the curriculum. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to inspire and motivate young learners with diverse needs and backgrounds. Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement. Experience with digital art tools and educational technology. Familiarity with integrating STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) into the curriculum. Enthusiasm for fostering a love of learning and exploration in students.

We are seeking a passionate and creative Art and Technology Teacher to join our dynamic team and inspire our students.
Position Overview :
The Art and Technology Teacher will be responsible for creating and delivering a stimulating curriculum that engages students in artistic expression and technological literacy. This role involves teaching art and technology classes to elementary students, integrating faith-based principles into lessons, and promoting a creative and innovative learning environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement engaging art and technology lesson plans that align with both academic standards and Catholic values.
- Teach students a range of artistic techniques and technological skills, encouraging creativity and critical thinking.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student growth and confidence.
- Integrate faith-based themes into art and technology projects to reinforce the school’s Catholic identity.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance cross-curricular projects and school-wide initiatives.
- Organize and oversee art exhibitions, technology fairs, and other relevant events.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and inspiring classroom environment.
