28.00 - $29.00 per hour
The JCCSF Summer Camp is now hiring Art Specialists for 2025!
Summer Camp at the JCCSF offers one-week to three-week sessions in both the traditional day camp and specialty camp settings for campers in grades K-8. Our classic day camps feature arts & crafts, STEAM projects, and sports. Specialty camps include visual arts, nature exploration, musical theater, science and more.
Art-focused camps are in session June 2 - August 22, 2025.
The Art Specialist creates, organizes, and implements 1 to 2-week sessions of camp throughout the summer. The Art Specialist is responsible for leading Digital Photography, Movie Makers, and Animation camps, and is also responsible for the general art camp Art Adventures.
- Digital Photography camp is offered for campers in grades 3-5 and 6-8 separately. Campers will be introduced to the basics of digital photography and hone their artistic skills through hands-on experience and exploration of various techniques.
- Movie Makers camp is offered for campers in grades 3-5. Campers will be introduced to the creative process around making a movie and developing an understanding of visual storytelling.
- Animation camp is offered for campers in grades 3-5 and 6-8 separately. Campers will be introduced to the basics of digital animation and the different techniques of animation.
The Art Specialist position requires strong classroom management skills and must be able to implement a well-rounded art curriculum for youth ages 6 - 11. This position also requires the ability to demonstrate multiple techniques, styles, and mediums of art.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Will be working directly with youth ages 5-13. Most Art Specialty Camps will take place on-site at the JCCSF. We will utilize spaces such as the Art Studio and the individual camp rooms.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift equipment / supplies / assorted material of up to 50lbs, with or without assistance. Work entails standing and walking throughout the day.
