RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create textures from 2D designs and references, in a variety of styles, with a cartoonish bent;
• Collaborate with character modelers to optimize UVs as needed;
• Create textures for characters, sets and props;
• Achieve a degree of realism appropriate to the project’s artistic direction;
• Collaborate with lighting designers to ensure quality of renderings;
• Execute corrections requested by supervisors and / or the director using analytical skills;
• Organize work and prepare presentation elements for validation;
• Provide supervisors and producers with progress reports on an “as needed” basis.

You will be a part of a small group of texture and shading specialists. Depending on the project, you will either take full responsibility for these tasks or share them with colleagues located around the world. You will also collaborate with a group of 5 to 30 3D artists depending on the scale of the production.
