Vantive : A New Company Built On Our Legacy
Baxter is on a journey to separate our ~$5B Kidney Care segment into a standalone company. Vantive
- will build on our nearly 70-year legacy in acute therapies and home and in-center dialysis to provide best-in-class care to the people we serve. We believe Vantive will not only build our leadership in the kidney care space, it will also offer meaningful work to those who join us.
At Vantive, you will become part of a community of people who are focused, courageous and don’t settle for the mediocre. Each of us are driven to help improve patients’ lives worldwide. Join us as we revolutionize kidney care and other vital organ support.
Your Role :
As the Lead, Sr Model-Based Developer, you will work to transform R&D and introduce Model-Based development into our Software Engineering group. While working on a highly successful market-leading CRRT product, you will lead our effort to define how our model-based development is conducted, moving toward a MBSE / MBD split between Systems and Software. Your experience will help you lead this multi-site effort and ensure our success in a multi-functional, highly collaborative agile environment.
What you'll be doing :
Authoritatively lead a transformation to achieve software ownership for all model-based artifacts on our industry-leading CRRT platform.
Collaborate with the embedded software architect and firmware lead to assess direction for feature implementation for new therapies.
Lead model-based feature development efforts, both for new features and in sustaining existent features for a multi-site organization.
Introduce best-practices in model-based development practices and tool utilization, and guide our global team toward effective adoption.
Develop, document and test models, using modern development and MIL / HIL / SIL techniques within a highly collaborative MBD / SW / Test team
Provide high-level and detailed estimates for model-based work; develop software use cases and requirements, linking model implementations when needed.
Mentor junior model-based developers, and / or guide software developers and testers into better understanding of model-based practices.
