New York Athletic ClubPelham, NY, United StatesAbout the New York Athletic Club and the Winged Foot Day Camp : The New York Athletic Club, one of the world's premier clubs, is seeking a Day Camp Activity Leader (Sports and Creative Arts ) at the Travers Island property located in Pelham, NY. The candidate for this position will be a part of the Winged Foot Day Camp team and will conduct general sports classes. They will also assist with leading camp wide activities.
The Winged Foot Day Camp is the perfect opportunity for children of members to gain a full camp experience, take advantage of the world class facilities at Travers Island, and create memories to last a lifetime. Campers will participate in several sports, creative arts, theme days, and off campus field trips
Job Description and Responsibilities
- Create lesson plans to provide basic sport instruction to campers ages 5-13 years old
- Provide fun, engaging, instructional activities for campers
- Create a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment for campers
- Maintain a clean work space and inventory for all equipment
- Enforce safety rules and regulations of the Club
- Be able to cultivate and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, campers, parents / guardians
- Be flexible to meet changing work needs and demands
- Attend pre-camp training in June 2024
Day Camp season runs from June 24, 2004-July 26, 2024.
