Purpose of the Position :
The Assistant Coach of Men's Basketball will assist the Head Basketball Coach in team management and administration and to reinforce the athletics department and university goals.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Recruit and evaluate quality student athletes
- Train and teach student-athletes both on and off of the court
- Help to Maintain compliance with NCAA departmental and University rules and regulations
- Assist in establishing game plans
- Scout opponents
- Coordinate Team Travel
- Maintain correspondence with recruits
- Assist with preparing the budget
- Assist with program fundraising efforts
- Coordinate film exchange
- Coordinate game day management for home and visiting teams
- Coordinate equipment purchase and maintenance
- Maintain positive public relationships with the university and community
