Summary Statement : The Buyer will be responsible for leading and directing all direct and indirect purchasing functions. Primary Job Duties : – Includes, but is not limited to : Lead, direct, implement and support initiatives for fashion buying with the objective of supporting the overall goals of the department in relation to budgetary goals. Research and stay up to date on industry trends through social media, trade shows and fashion shows. Develop relationships with brands and suppliers that support strategic fashion initiatives. Through research and analysis, the buyer will make purchase decisions that determine which products and quantities to buy on a seasonal basis. Analyze inventory reports to identify purchase trends and modify pricing strategies when needed. Prepare quarterly presentation on upcoming fashion buys and proposed budgets to meet department goals. Create added items, update / change items and maintain them in the Procurement system. Generate reports, analyze, and implement solutions that best support the property’s retail environment. Create and process requisitions into Purchase Orders, which may include following established strategies, bidding, and redirection to catalogs. Communicate, support and coordinate with all internal departments. Use personal device / cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications : – Includes, but is not limited to : Working knowledge of modern procurement systems. Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (example Word, Excel). Previous experience in the use of and supporting strategic programs and catalogs. Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to effectively communicate in English. Polished appearance and demeanor. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures. Preferred : Previous experience in Fashion Buying and Procurement. Working knowledge of Red Rock Procurement System. Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting. Minimum Education and Experience : At least 21 years of age Bachelor’s degree in business, preferably with a concentration in retail merchandising and management. Minimum of five years of experience in retail buying or related field. Certificates, Licenses, Regulations : Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
