Job Summary

We are hiring skilled software engineers in modern data platform and engineering space with a strong technology background and data engineering experiences working in enterprise setting. You will build or enhance critical enterprise modern data intensive applications both on-prem and in the cloud (AWS, Azure and other SaaS technologies). You will design and build elegant solutions, use current and emerging technologies, and communicate clearly.

Major Responsibilities :

  • Design, Develop, and operationalize data solutions and integration of disparate data sets and interfaces to enterprise systems
  • Use languages like Python, Java, C#, Node, TypeScript, Angular and / or React to develop data solutions
  • Develop high performance data solutions to process large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources into cloud-based data lakes or warehouses.
  • Work with business users to turn functional requirements and specifications into technical designs for implementation
  • Work with cross functional teams to prototype, design, develop, test and support SIT and UAT testing, triaging and bug fixing for data solutions
  • Produce high quality, testable code from designs and specifications along with automated unit tests and test-automation suites.
  • Meet timelines and deliverables with creative solutions in project or fixed-capacity agile executions
  • Migrate in-prem solutions to the cloud in cost-effective ways with cloud native services

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience
  • 5+ years of data intensive enterprise application experience at different levels of the technology stacks (front end / UI, middle / services and back end / database) using technologies such as Python, Java, Scala, Spark, C#.
  • Experience working with real time and interactive data intensive applications using NodeJs, ReactJS and / or AngularJS
  • Proficient in development of Unix Shell Scripting, SQL, data modeling, design, ETL principles and non-relational database like DynamoDB.
  • Strong DevOps skills and experience in AzureDevOps, Maven, NPM, Ansible, and Nexus Repository
  • Experience with container technologies like Kubernetes, Docker.
  • Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks.
  • Good understanding of AWS serverless application model and microservice design principles.
  • Thorough knowledge of cloud native services such as AWS Glue, Redshift, EMR, RDS, Kinesis, S3, Athena, DynamoDB, Step Functions and Lambda.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data security, and compliance practices in cloud environments.
  • Experience within a technology organization in the financial services industry.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills and flexible and adaptable to new environments.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, systems, products and businesses.
  • AWS certifications on Data related specialties are a plus.
  • The typical base pay range for this role is between $120K - $150K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and / or incentive compensation.
