Job Title : CAD Designer

Direct Supervisor : Engineering Manager
Job Summary : The CAD Designer utilizes software to provide support to Engineering and Operations by preparing routine and detailed layouts for various disciplines including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, piping, and as-built drawings. They create Front End Engineering Drawings (FEED), support regulatory maintenance of drawings through routine reviews, and store drawings in the form of up-to-date drawing history within the company filing system, all while adhering to corporate technical standards. The CAD Designer has a solid understanding of drafting techniques, design layouts, and engineering terminology. Additionally, they possess mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Essential Responsibilities :
- Create CAD drawings for engineering projects.
- Generate and revise project drawings, layouts, and elevation plans.
- Prepare final sketches of proposed drawings, ensuring accurate dimensions of parts, materials to be used, the relationship of one part to another, and how various parts fit into the overall structure or project.
- Apply knowledge of process equipment, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and physical sciences to complete drawings.
- Draft detailed multi-view drawings of processes, including isometric views.
- Translate sketches into finished designs.
- Maintain strong attention to detail to ensure drawings meet specifications accurately.
- Update Drafting and Engineering standards as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
