About the Job :
The QC Lab supervisor will assist with lab operations, support lab efforts in analytical testing, troubleshooting, and lead root cause problem solving with test results / product deviations.Interface with colleagues in Stockvik laboratory for support in daily lab activities, transferring new tests / methods.
In your future as QC Lab Supervisor you will :
Conduct routine and nonroutine analytical procedures requiring sophisticated instrumentation including GC, TMA, Particle size analyzers.
Implement new test methods from sister site in support of manufacturing methods.
Coordinate nonstandard / routine analytical tasks with laboratory personnel.
Coordinate / perform instrumentation calibrations.
Advanced troubleshooting of GC and other sensitive equipment.
Training of lab personnel on use of instrumentation and new methods.
Ability to cover shifts for laboratory personnel.
Lead Root Cause Problem Solving and technical service support for customer samples.
Other duties and assignment as directed by supervisor / manager.
Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and follow safety instructions.
PPE to include steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses. If needed, must be able to wear full face respirator.
We believe you bring :
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
Prior experience (minimum 3-5 years) in a quality control laboratory environment, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
Proficiency in conducting routine and nonroutine analytical procedures using sophisticated instrumentation such as Gas Chromatography (GC), Thermal Mechanical Analysis (TMA), and Particle Size Analyzers.
Ability to implement new test methods and procedures acquired from sister sites to support manufacturing processes.
Strong coordination skills to manage nonstandard or routine analytical tasks with laboratory personnel.
Experience in coordinating and performing instrument calibrations to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
Advanced troubleshooting skills specifically in GC and other sensitive equipment.
Capability to train laboratory personnel on the proper use of instrumentation and new testing methods.
Flexibility to cover shifts for laboratory personnel as needed.
Demonstrated leadership skills in leading Root Cause Problem Solving and providing technical service support for customer samples.
Willingness to adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, and potentially a full-face respirator if required.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with team members and management.
